  • OFM :: Fees, Permits and Special Services

A permit from the Office of the Fire Marshal is required before engaging in any of the following activities in the areas regulated by the Stanislaus County Fire Code.

  • An Explosives or Blasting Agent Permit is required before using or transporting explosives or blasting agents within Stanislaus County.  The permit fee is $293.00.
  • A fire inspection and fire clearance is required before a Dance Permit will be issued.  The inspection fee is $195.00.
  • A Fireworks Sales Booth Permit is required before “Safe and Sane” fireworks may be sold.  The permit fee is $73.00.
  • Prior approval, an on-site inspection, and an on-site fire official are required for all public pyrotechnic displays.  The cost for these services is $660.00.
  • A fire inspection and fire clearance is required before a permit to have a carnival or circus will be issued.  The inspection fee is $195.00.
  • A fire inspection and fire clearance may be required before a permit for a concert, festival, street fair, or other similar activity is issued.  The inspection fee is $122.00.
  • Information concerning water system flow tests is available.  If an actual flow test is required the fee is $110.00.
  • The cost of forced weed abatement performed under the Stanislaus County Code will include the cost of completing the abatement and an administrative fee of $214.00
